Southern California Edison Warns
of Potential Public Safety Power Shutoffs
for Parts of San Bernardino
Southern California Edison (SCE) has informed the City of San Bernardino that due to potential fire weather conditions from high winds, there may be a Public Safety Power Shutoff impacting high risk fire areas of the City between 3:00 am on Wednesday, November 6 through 9:00 pm on Thursday, November 7.
SCE will notify all customers who may be affected, including Critical Care and Medical Baseline customers.
Actual safety outages will be determined based on the weather conditions.
The impacted areas are largely in the foothill portions of the City, north of I-210 and west of Waterman, extending toward Devore. Also potentially impacted is the area near the I- 210 and Highway 330 interchange.

If power must be turned off, SCE will work to restore power as soon as possible. Restoration information updates will be posted on www.sce.com/psps.
The City of San Bernardino is monitoring the high-winds in anticipation of a full operational response depending on conditions. The City’s Urban Forestry Crew is currently responding to several minor trees down. Traffic and Lighting crews are also on standby to address issues at intersections as needed.
City crews will work throughout the day and be placed on standby overnight should they need to respond to other wind emergencies.
