San Bernardino, CA – On the evening of Thursday, November 7, 2024, at approximately 9:20 p.m., undercover officers from the San Bernardino Police Department observed a car-to-car shooting near the intersection of 14th Street and Magnolia Avenue in the City of San Bernardino. During the incident, one of the suspect's rounds struck an unmarked San Bernardino Police Department vehicle.
Following the shooting, officers initiated a pursuit of the suspect vehicle, which headed northbound on the 215 Freeway and continued onto the westbound 210 Freeway. During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle reached speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour. While attempting to evade law enforcement, the suspects discharged multiple rounds at the pursuing San Bernardino Police Department marked police vehicles. The suspects eventually exited the freeway at Archibald Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga, where two suspects were taken into custody. No injuries were reported to either law enforcement officers or the suspects involved.
The San Bernardino Police Department is currently leading the investigation into the shooting incident within the city. The California Highway Patrol will be handling the investigation about the shooting that took place on the freeway.
